Great location easy to find... helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Lovely jacuzzi. Wonderful views. Staff will go out of their way to help you. Perfect location for an overnight visit to Rome or longer. Good air conditioning - quiet and it works. Mini Bar is great... water beer soft drinks... room to place food if purchased during the day. A few mercatos - supermarkets near by... pretty much everything is on your doorstep... either walking or bus or trams or taxis. Rooms are quiet at night doors to outside block noise... just us to normal coming and going of other guests.. sky tv channels a few in English mainly UK or USA news channels. I was previously booked I to another hotel for my return leg to Australia but after staying here on arrival before travelling around Italy for our one night I rebooked for our one night before flying out. This is now my choice for accommodation is Rome.
Not a con but suggestion of two things... *Tea/coffee making facilities for the non European guests who like a coffee or tea early in the morning or later in evening. *A small table for rooms with balconies to go with the seat provided would help. Well make life a bit easier.
Location was great 20 mins walk and you get to see all the major sites, easy to find just look up and you can see the roof terrarce, the rooms where clean and full of design the jaccuzzis where great view exccellent.Bathroom products where great but not what we expected.
Where do we start? We were looking forward to arriving at your beautiful apartment. Upon arrival, it looked like you thought we were two couples and decided to put us in two separate rooms, for the first night even though we had booked at the beginning of July. The receptionist was adamant to put us in the separate rooms even when she saw we had a 14 year old child with us.they was only three of us, It was not until we said we were going elsewhere and to cancel the room did she decide to make a phone call to the owner. After this the keys were given to us and she said to come back in 2 hours and the room would be ready. Not good when she had been emailing us for the last 4 days asking when we were going to arrive. When we came back, at approximately 4pm, nobody was at the reception so we went to our room. No information was given to us about anything!!!! No maps nothing Including the times of breakfast. It was not until the morning at approximately 9am when our son was outside that the waiter told us that we had to come onto the terrace to get breakfast and if we wanted it early to let them know the day before,Early to these people was 9am and all you got was just one cup of coffee and a biscuit? 250euros a night,,, We were sightseeing the following day also, so we told the receptionist this and asked if we could have breakfast at 8, 30, the following day, which she said would be fine. However, the following day, this did not arrive until 9.20am with sour milk… The waiter had not been told. During owner stay somebody had come in to owner room and taken the plug from the hair dryer without asking us, when we asked the receptionist she denied that any one had been in the room. The table outside was never cleaned during owner stay. Bottles and rubbish was never taken away even though we sore the receptionist come up to roof she never bothered to take away anything away.
Good boss! Small but comfortable hotel! A nice sea food Italian restaurant introduced by the boss, maxim 10 minutes walk from the hotel, Le Mani! Good price, nice food, amazing!
Service and hospitality from all staff (Alessandra and Julin) including the owner (Antonio) was unbelievable, as good as it gets; the rooms were tastefully and artistically furnished and impeccably clean; this small, boutique hotel was charming, romantic, with modern and contemporary rooms located in a historical building in the old city, a short walk to the Tiber River and little Italian restaurants; our room balcony overlooked one of the most stunning excavations of the Roman Senate where Julius Ceasar lived and died; we had breakfast in the rooftop garden in the morning, and prosecco wine and reggiano cheese (an anniversary gift from the hotel) as we overlooked the grandeur of Rome at night.
That we couldn't stay longer...tho we did revise our itinerary to stay there 2 more nights at the end of our trip.
The location, personal approach and human scale are the cake. The rooftop terrace represents the cherries! It felt like entering a wonderful fifth floor apppartment. 6 rooms and a wonderful host. You become a little bit Roman resident, which is nice in the intensity of Rome. Of course it's in the middle of Rome with its traffic and all. Thats part of the experience.
Great central location, charming host antonio who arranged our airport pickup and welcomed up. Lovely room and facilities, wonderful terrace where breakfast was served. Could not have been more lovely
Although breakfast was plentiful, would have preferred a more "savoury" selection.
The room was beautiful as was the smile with which the breakfast was served each morning. We were pleased with everything
If you are a light sleeper be aware that the the hotel is situated on a busy square with traffic noise.
Being able to sit in the hot tub and look out over the Old Senate which is right next door. The entire roof terrace was brilliant. We had the suite and it suited us just perfectly. Very friendly staff and even the owner was very nice. The hotel is small and located at the top of the property and it thrived we. Would definitely recommend this to others. Did not even see the other rooms and liked them too.
Very accomodating & friendly staff in an amazing location. Rooms are on the smaller side but they are very clean, comfortable and really unique. We loved the special shower and 24 hour access to a beautiful terrace rooftop. We will definitely stay there again!
I booked this trip for my husband's birthday and a belated 10th wedding anniversay gift. I chose it as it looked central to everything-and I liked the look of the roof top jacuzzi! The location is perfect, 10-15min walk to any of the main sites, except the Vatican which took us 40mins (it's a lot further than in looks on the map!). The jacuzzi's are on for 24hrs a day, being a small hotel the roof top was always peaceful and on one occation the owner, Antonio appeared like a genie offering to bring us a bottle of bubbly to sip in the tub. The rooms are a good size, artistically decorated and spotless. Breakfast was lovely and could be taken on our balcony, up stairs on the terrace or in bed. Antonio and his staff were warm and friendly and made us want for nothing. It is a wonderful hotel and we can not wait to visit it again
This is not your typical holiday hotel. The rooms are ultra modern with modern fixtures and furnishings. The bathroom was large and the showers were clean with new fixtures and ample hot water and pressure. The beds were comfortable and the other furnishings were above regular quality. The view was spectacular especially from the terrace which had couch seating and two hot tubs overlooking the best view of Rome you can imagine. Its a five minute walk to the Pantheon, 15 minutes to the Colloseum and 15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. Below your rooms are the ruins of the Senate Chamber where Julius Caeser was asassinated. The staff are truly helpfull and the owner Antonio, spends as much time running the place as do the hired staff.
The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar but the breakfast served on the roof top terrace is fantastic. In Rome you shouldn't spend time in your hotel anyways.
Me and my wife stayed only 2 nights at Relais Badoer, and did not know anything about the hotel before checking in. We were so surprised and satisfied with everything, including the fantastic service. Everything was perfect, and one thing was even better than perfect: The jacuzzi on the roof terasse. After walking kilometers on rough streets in Rome, it was s-o-oo relaxing to get massage in the jacuzzi in the evening watching stars, moon, and the citylights. We hope to come back soon, and would absolute recommend in. Astrid and Oddvar from Norway
The room was very comfortable and super clean. Great location. Staff was great, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace everyday. Our only issue but not necessarily the hotel issue. We are not city dweller and the noise of the city takes getting used too.Rome is very busy. Beautiful but fast pace.
The Location was fantastic, The Receptionist was so knowlegeble about how to get to all the sights, when best to visit them and what mode of transport was best to get there.
Nothing, it was all great
Such a beautiful, clean, modern and comfortable apartment in a great location! Only a short stroll to all the sights of Rome. The rooftop terrace with jacuzzi's was superb, a nice way to relax after a long flight and a beautiful spot for breakfast in the morning! Antonio and his staff were extremeley hospitable and happy to help direct us to restaurants and sights! I would definitely stay here again when in Rome and will be recommending to all of our friends! Grazie Antonio :)
